Job Description:
As such, Direct Medics are working in partnership with a client based in the Dublin 4 area to find an experienced and dedicated Senior Radiographer/Sonographer for a 6-9 month period.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· To organise/supervise/perform ultrasound examinations according to any protocols provided, and to supervise other staff, as appropriate
· To assist in the daily operational management of the services
· To maintain high standards of patient care, technique and safety
· To keep abreast of, and embrace where appropriate, current techniques and developments particularly in relation to PACS/IT.
· To assist in the education and training of staff as appropriate, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate students and encourage professional development
· To adhere to all Health & Safety Guidelines and all Whole Hospital and Department PPGs.
· To be observant in relation to equipment faults and errors and to report all defects or occurrences to Clinical Specialist Radiographer or Radiography Service Manager.
· To participate in Clinical Audit and Quality Improvement Programmes as required
· To attend relevant post-graduate courses and to undertake/assist with research projects
· To adhere to the professional guidelines laid down by the Irish Institute of Radiographers and Radiation Therapists (IIRRT).
· To perform any other duties in the Radiology Department or its satellites deemed appropriate to the grade by the Radiography Service Manager
· The post holder may be required, from time to time, to deputise for a Clinical Specialist Radiographer
Requirements:
CORU registered Radiographer
Postgraduate qualification in Ultrasound
Have 3 years fulltime (or an aggregate of 3 years) post qualification clinical experience (UK/ROI)
Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
Full ROI drivers license and access to a car
Right to live and work in the UK/Ireland without VISA sponsorship
