The Role

Direct Medics is currently recruiting on behalf of the HSE for a Community Registered General Nurse (CRGN) to support community healthcare services across County Laois.

Location: County Laois
Contract Type: Ongoing Contract
Start Date: Immediate
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (flexibility can be discussed)

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated community nursing team, delivering high-quality patient care within the community setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care within the community setting.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in line with professional standards.

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support patient needs.

• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.

• Travel throughout the community to provide care and support to patients.

• Participate in an on-call weekend rota for essential calls when required.

Essential Criteria

• Registered General Nurse (RGN).

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Professional presentation and patient-focused approach.

• Full driving licence and access to own vehicle, as community travel is essential.
