Job Description:

As such, Direct Medics are working in partnership with a client covering Carlow, Kilkenny and South Tipperary to find an experienced and dedicated Locum Psychologist who will be providing a comprehensive, specialist Primary Care Autism Assessment Service for children and young people.

The ideal candidate will work from a neurodiversity affirmative perspective with children and young people aged up to 18 years, offering comprehensive assessments to clients allocated to either primary care or CAMHS services. Prior experience of working with autistic children and adolescents as well as someone who is proponent of a neuro-affirmative approach would be preferred.

The client is open to both Senior and Staff Grade psychologist applications for this post. At present, the role will be for a 6 month temporary duration.

Essential Requirements

• Hold an Irish post-graduate professional psychology qualification (Doctorate) accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland (or equivalent)

• Senior: at least five years satisfactory post-graduate experience in the area of
  professional psychology in ROI/EU & currently employed in a named publically funded psychological service

• Staff Grade: at least 60 days or equivalent supervised clinical placements as part of the professional qualification/post qualification EU/ROI experience

• Full UK/ROI Drivers License and Access to a car on appointment

• Right to live and work in the UK/Ireland
